Residential Basement Waterproof

The Problem

The owners of this large residential house were perplexed at how to solve their leakage problem. The exposed concrete residential deck and foundation required rehabilitation and water proofing. Due to inadequate sealing and waterproofing when initially constructed, the concrete was leaking and deteriorated both above and below ground resulting in water ingress and structural deterioration affecting the main house structure. Water ingress into basement area was of particular concern. The water seepage had also caused damage and corrosion to the concrete surface and joins.

The Solution

Mr Waterproofing came in and used the complete Wetsuit® spray applied tanking system to footings and foundations in addition to some excavation works to ensure footings were properly waterproofed using WetSuit® to seal and waterproof the entire envelope structure. Both patching and WetSuit® Invisi Seam and parts 1 & 2 were deployed in the works. Additional works were undertaken to remedy existing concrete cancer.

The Result

WetSuit® water proofing work was undertaken in middle of winter under difficult conditions. Mr Waterproofing completed works within required time frame. Once the sealing and waterproofing was proven, the new builder and other trades were able recommence the project to the client’s satisfaction.
