Historic privately owned mansion in inner Melbourne. This national trust listed property required complete roof restoration. The building was of solid stone construction and the roof was predominately original slate with other materials used in addition throughout subsequent additions and alterations.
Sections of the roof were in major disrepair, and severe water leakage and damage was occurring as a result. Attempts had been made to fix the roof with various coatings but none had succeeded. Rather than replacing the roof at enormous cost the decision was made to rehabilitate existing by utilising WetSuit® waterproofing membrane. The roof was first cleaned and prepared before application of Invisilink® Seam Fabric, followed by WetSuit® Parts 1 & 2.
The result was a complete success with all leaks and damage permanently fixed at a fraction of the cost of roof replacement. The project was completed on time and on budget, as are all Mr Waterproofing projects.
